Patrick McKeown is one of the most experienced Buteyko practitioners in the UK and Ireland. In addition, Patrick has trained many practitioners throughout the world. Patrick is accredited by the founding clinic of Moscow and his best selling books have reached out to many thousands more.
Patrick 's clinic in Ireland is one of the busiest practices in the Western world. Training with Patrick provides a unique opportunity to observe and learn how he teaches his patients according to the original method as taught by the Buteyko Clinic of Moscow. The only way to properly learn to teach the Buteyko method is to see it applied in practice.
Following training in the Buteyko Institute Method in 2001 with Russell and Jennifer Stark, Linda Meads has expanded her knowledge of the Buteyko Method by training with various experienced Buteyko practitioners over the past 9 years. She been teaching Buteyko in the UK full-time for 6 years and has taught the Method to over 700 people. Her busy practice is based in Stratford-upon-Avon, and she also teaches courses in Bristol, Cardiff, and Central and South West London.
Our Buteyko Method Practitioner training is held over twelve months and comprises DVD's and reading material and most importantly, practical training. The practical training involves a minimum of 60 hours observation of and instruction with real patients followed by annual workshops as they are held in respective locations. During training you are given continuous email and telephone support.
Upon registration, an extensive training manual and DVD is provided. DVDs are three hours of specific practitioner training. (They are not for patients). Following this, new practitioners attend a minimum of ten days on site training. This time can be completed over a number of weekends in Ireland or in the UK or during one continuous visit.
Attending 10 days of training with real patients is absolutely necessary to understand, comprehend and successfully teach the method.
